 Hodl jambalaya recipe

I forgot the original recipe years ago so here it is from memory

- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 white onion
- 1 large stalk of celery
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1-2lb chicken breast
- 1 large andouille sausage
- 4 cups bone broth
- 2 cups white rice
- 2-4 tbsp lard or duck fat

1. Chop up all the veggies and sausage and chicken and shit.
2. Heat up a pot on medium high add lard or duck fat (I prefer duck fat usually)
2. Add sausage and fry until crispy
3. Take cooked sausage out and set in a bowl in the fridge for later.
4. Add chopped onion to fat and fry until golden brown.
5. Add tomato paste and fry that up also.
6. Add bell peppers.
7. Add celery.
8. Add diced tomatoes.
9. Add broth.
10. Add all your spices (garlic, pepper, zattarans, old bay, hot sauce, ghost pepper, msg) and Bring to a boil.
11. Reduce to low/simmer
12. Stir occasionally over the next 1-2 hours
13. Add rice. 2 methods. You can add the rice to the jambalaya and cook over medium stirring until done. This imparts more flavor. Or You can be lazy and cook the rice in a rice cooker and just dump it in near the end. I usually do it the lazy way lol
14. Add the sausage back in, stir and plate
15. Enjoy! nostr:note1l65eyd23c3uxjgap3jeugypp0zk5ekj8zeuaryhvvvpndvnqheks9gwvs5

Shit I forgot a step. After you add the broth add the chicken.
I’ll see your jambalaya and raise you two cups of okra.
 Ghost peppers 🔥
Nice! You could put this on zap.cooking 🥹
 How do I do that?
Just visit https://zap.cooking and sign in with your browser extension. Fill out the fields with your recipe.
Would be amazing to have the same json configuration as Nextcloud recipes to sync between them all. 🤔
uff... this was very good. 10 out of 10
Bro. I bookmarked this note. Finally got around to giving it a try... this was the most delicious thing I've made in a while. Made it on grill. Straight fire. You don't know me from a can of paint, but as far as I'm concerned we're brethren now. Many thanks my guy.
