 What would happen if the user never checks his npub. cash address? 

 Practically anyone with nsec will already have a wallet, nice! 

 I like this idea. Would an app like primal be able to alert you that you received ecash? Or would they just be able to let you know that someone tried to send you ecash after lightning payment failed? 

 That gives unreasonable power to the app developer, as they set the default mint. 

 very important point. at the least the sending user should have the choice if he wants to send the zap to the service 

 I like it. May need a short description or notification for the end user where they're zaps are going though.

 Also a toggle. On/Off doesn’t make sense on the receiver side (given use case) but on the sender side … “send zaps to ecash if recipient has no lightning address” setting at least keeps users in charge if “black hole sats gone” syndrome occurs. 

Coupled with a notification for both parties…  

 Pros: More people get an incentive to on board to lightning because it's just free money. 

Cons: Receiving money in DMs without any expectation looks very scammy to no-coiners and might scare people off.

Now look, one day when npub.cash ownership was changed, real bad things is happening. Even though it's not going to happen, I am afraid with the fact that everyone's default wallet will be npub.cash

And most importantly, the one who do not think want to touch with cryptocurrency at all.

 This could work, but npub.cash has to improve their claim screens for new lightning users. It's too complicated right now to claim the tokens. Maybe a partnership with nostr:nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hj7qgewaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8xmn0wf6zuum0vd5kzmp0qythwumn8ghj7ct5d3shxtnwdaehgu3wd3skuep0qqsyv47lazt9h6ycp2fsw270khje5egjgsrdkrupjg27u796g7f5k0sjh66rd  or other wallets can help.

*it may still be good to send a message in the dms
*the improvement mentioned in the claim screen, I agree is a prerequisite for automatic sending; but maybe not if given as a choice

 I think it should just auto-withdraw once a user sets a lightning address in their profile.  

 Side note: why don't we have multiple payment options in the profile, so that we could use stuff as fallback? 🤔

 That’s a pretty neat idea, but also an edge case. The idea is to provide an address in the first place. 

 Onboarding new users that know nothing is not an edge case.  

 But isn’t this the opposite of what you said above? New users can have a seamless experience with npub.cash, by setting their Lightning address to their npub.cash address. Clients could display the balance within their UI, no friction whatsoever

But I thought the goal was to make it work for people without any address in their profile. They woundn't have a place to auto-withdraw.

 Strongly agree! The webpage was meant as a POC. The idea is that apps and wallets implement the API directly. Amethyst users could use their npub.cash address absolutely seamlessly.

We are currently strengthening foundations, adding proper CI and testing etc. Once that’s done we will revisit the webpage, even though it would be best if apps implement it directly 

 I have the same issue....with walletofsatoshi users...I always have to go profile to zap. Can't use fork also.
