just tried uber after a long time wow they ruined that app
Make a new one!
He will. 😂🫂✨
🫂😂
The idea of you taking Uber made me giggle. Tiping must be awkward for you. Like what's appropriate? Do people get pissed if you don't tip enough?
Unfortunately, the free driver or delivery apps were never finished... ArcadeCity seems to have disappeared with donor money and Nostrlivery was never finished due to lack of support.
I have not heard of arcade city in a few years. Aren't they an ETH dApp?
The fate of most apps anymore. It's bloated and overcomplicated.
Was the driver wearing an excessive amount of synthetic fragrance perfume or cologne? That's been the most disturbing part of getting inside an Uber any of the last few times I've had to. 🥴
you sound like an HSP
Yep, i used it a couple weeks ago. I think my issues were mostly network related, but it's spam filled and IMO too not the most user friendly. I just want a ride, I don't want a sandwich.
Wen nostr-ride?
Unsustainable business model + IPO = Desperation The next recession is gonna be a tech bloodbath.
@jack it is easy to criticize companies that are shipping. have you used CashApp or Tidal recently? The functionality and content velocity is at about zero. both these apps are losing relevancy. just some honest feedback from a former user of both.
It's time for a decentralized alternative to Uber and Lyft, built on Nostr, with Bitcoin payments. I see various companies trying to become competitors to the duopoly, but it's hard for them to gain traction because nobody has heard of them, and they're not in every market (In-Drive, Teleport, Y-Ride, Wridz, Empower, etc.) In my opinion, they need to join forces, so to speak, on an open protocol, and allow anyone using any of those apps to get a ride, without the 50%+ take-rate of #Uber and #Lyft. It can be cheaper for the passengers and still better pay for the drivers.
Same whit cash app Try to use on my degoogle phone.. 👎
They hire too many developers and they develop whatever comes to mind. There really should be a role that's the inverse of a developer. Something like "professional UX simplifier, code deleter, architecture cleaner and minimizer".
Care to elaborate nostr:nprofile1qqsgydql3q4ka27d9wnlrmus4tvkrnc8ftc4h8h5fgyln54gl0a7dgspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxgctdw4eju6t0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyfehcpn would love to hear your take sir shoot recently been using lyft when needed..
On this day 1 year ago when arriving home from Japan, the uber driver gave Karson and I free weed. 🤣 We were talking about how fun Japan was to him but that we were looking forward to smoking. Epic guy, decent weed. Was planning to wait until morning but we smoked that night given the gift we got, and all the moments throughout the trip flashed through my mind in a different light — was so surprised and grateful at all that had transpired. What a way to end the trip lol. Japan was one of a kind…
