Not depressed enough? This may help.  I’ve been warning that the Senate map for 2024 was a trainwreck coming on. And that was before Manchin’s announcement.  This is a break-glass crisis if we don’t stop wasting time on unicorns and grievance votes. We need to stop pretending anything but a Democratic wave can save this foundering democracy.  @40cd5708 I live in tennessee, so my cranky idealism is just about as useful as voting.  Best of luck to the rest of you, though. 

 Just take a look at the Kentucky governor race win by a dem in an otherwise red state. Or look at Mississippi and how close the dem got in that race, in a deeply red state nonetheless. We need to be more aggressive in red states across the board and providing an actual progressive alternative to the hellish proposals they have to live with. Every state deserves a progressive option. Just my 2 cents take it as you will.
