I don’t know which is worse: the fact that my phone made a disconcertingly and possibly hearing-damaging loud noise for ten seconds in a way that I the device owner have no control over

Or the fact that this is purportedly a mechanism to convey important information and there’s no way to go back and read that information _again_ after I’ve dismissed it. 

 @4f3f2c95 Hmm, interesting. What phone are you using? I use an iPhone 14 and it was only a 1 second blast. And I can see the notification when I swipe down on my screen, even tho I dismissed it at the time.
