Ewww downloading apps directly from websites? Can we please not do that? I’m all for third party app stores and such, but downloading apps from web pages sucks on so many levels. I was hoping we were slowly getting rid of that. Maybe something like (Linux) package managers that allows for third party repositories instead? Thanks.

 @427aa226 F-Droid for iOS should become a thing. Then again, why should any FOSS developer spend time on making proprietary platforms more usable? 

 It is not even possible. Single point of failure. All what is needed is kick the app off apple store and the whole alternative appstore is unaccessible. All work for nothing.
