It's a ridiculous situation. Apparently this woman is so concerned that we are living in theological error that she felt justified in starting an argument about it over morning tea in our dining room. Meanwhile, she sends her kids to the same Catholic school ours attend.
There's a Lutheran school in the next suburb but hey, that's another five minutes in the car.
The hills we choose to die on.

I kinda preached on this during service today, we get so caught up with trying to pull people into church that they get pushed away. Instead, we should be looking for ways to bring Jesus to people and leave certain denominational differences at the door.
Amen - surely in this degenerate age a shared love of Christ should be enough to base friendship on, right?
It's a lesson we have to learn, hopefully the friendship can be repaired though.

Maybe this woman started the argument to avoid thinking about the women's ordination civil war that's ongoing in the LCANZ. The LCANZ Bishop put out a call to prayer to be played during service today about WO, so it's on everyone's mind again.
Well, that's a shame. I'm sorry that she felt the need to start an argument.
