 @43b5df12 Your map comment made me think of how I spent some time to determine the distance between certain points and calculated the speed with which the characters could move for the sake of consistency. Even though the distance isn't mentioned in the book, and I'm sure none of the readers would notice, for some reason it was important for me to know how long it would take the characters to get here and there because they traveled between the points a few times šŸ˜

 @d73175df very much the same. How far ā€” exactly ā€” is it from Santa Fe to Beaver Dam, Nevada, on the Old Spanish Trail? It was needed for an off-hand response. But. Iā€™m with you: it has to be right.
