In time, B T C will also change your ideals on #Philanthropy

#RandomThoughts
I think taxes inhibit philanthropy and in turn suppress empathy. Because there are "services" that taxes fund available to those who need help. We have outsourced the help to the state .

If individuals held and controlled all their wealth there would be much more #Philanthropy in the world.
 I get that!
For the better, mainly due to the collateral effects of developing a low time preference.
It's possible, I suppose. I bloody well know it played a huge role in changing my ideals about such a thing quite some time ago. But, tbh, that was largely due to family matters as well.

Although... here's the most challenging (and tricky) aspect of this concept: trying to convince everyone to garner the courage needed to go against the current systems that are in power. We're all very bloody dependent on them in one way or another. And most normies seem terrifyingly comfortable with that. People REALLY hate putting in effort to find alternatives for things that they've grown accustomed to. I'm not entirely sure that BTC will change everyone's philanthropic ideals but I do think everyone will gradually begin to realize how useless banks and other institutions have become.

I get that, I agree and it can be quite disheartening.
What keeps me rolling (right or wrong) is that these societal shifts have happened in past epochs and will continue. There's a cycle to it all, I for one am not built to stop it.
But I recognize it and try to prepare myself and the ones that matter to me as best I can even if they are unawares and haven't asked for my help.

In short, to some degree, you just gotta let it play out. Human instincts is a force of nature.
