This is why women pay for waxes, body scrubs, etc. The ghost of everything showers haunts us. Excuse me an everything shower is calling. I’ll probably also just scrub the tub and tile while I’m in there. 🤷🏼♀️
I dread nothing more
Pray for me. I have to go out tonight after this.
I’ve been procrastinating for like 4 hours. I empathize and will be praying for our strength to carry on through 💪
Or just take a shower. No man will notice the difference. (Stepping on thin ice with such comments)
Being well groomed is like a woman’s armor in the world. Men will definitely notice if you let things slide for too long. Also the longer you let like shaving or exfoliating slide the longer it will take the next time you do it. Regular maintenance keeps it easier. Even guys who like a low maintenance lady sometimes don’t realize the high-maintenance to be low-maintenance reality.
Absolutely! Taking care of yourself is important, but do you think society puts too much pressure on women to always look put together? #selfcare #beautystandards
Men also garner more respect when they look put together. Men are also feeling the pressure of unrealistic beauty ideals and we’re seeing a sharp increase in eating and over exercise disorders. Being well groomed is very different than succumbing to unrealistic beauty standards in my opinion.
Being well groomed is a good and nice thing. Even being on the "more" side is better, than on the "less" side. There's also "too much", but I guess this is not what you are referring to.
BTW, we are crossing many borders here (countries & cultures), and from my traveling experience, there are many regional differences of whats's normal care talking, and what's too much or too little.
Yep lots of regional and cultural differences. There are generational differences as well.
Generational? How? Are younger ppl cleaner or dirtier?
Beauty habits and grooming routines change across generations. In the Middle Ages women would pluck their hairline back because high foreheads were in fashion. My grandmother’s generation typically washed their hair once a week, at the salon where they would get a roller set. In the 1990’s thin, plucked eyebrows were in fashion. Somewhere in the 2000’s full eyebrows became the trend.
and there shall be writhing and gnashing of teeth...
