Yeah I think you are.  I wasnt aware of all these companies.  Glad to see it.  Many of the usual suspects, but some surprises in there.  Im not going to disgard these companies immediately, but it's not a great look.

I really dont understand why people sponsor these things.  And I dont understand why people go to these things.  What is the appeal?  "Networking"?  Most of the people there barely know a thing about bitcoin or were even around.

We organized the first bitcoin conference and it was a nice thing.  I had dinner with sipa, and hung out with amir, max kieser gave a talk in crazy trainers.  People talked about bitcoin and growing the project.

I've been to many conferences since, and they are largely the same talks.  People LARPing all the time.  People that generally know nothing.  I dont even see this mysterious networking.  Networking for what, I dont get it.

I cant even afford to go to btc conferences any more even in my home town, and wouldnt know anyone there.  I dont understand this at all.  Any ideas? 

 These companies are in desperate need of fiat and simps ! I had a talk with one of the guys don’t want to doxx but as he said: “I go there to shill the product, so plebs can pay for my living” that’s what everything is about. There is 0 signal over there and it’s just a shame for everyone who have been in this space for years to support trump rally! This is where they headed ! And what more funny is to see their notes with “fuck government” slogans ! Really circus  

 But why do the plebs go?  Just marketing and hype?  Do they think they'll get free bitcoin?  Do they think seeing a talk live is better than youtube?  Do they think they'll meet someone and get a job?  I dont see the hook. 

 I wish I would have an answer. Probably because they want to make a connections to get a job or to shill their projects
