I have a question for my landscapers out there. This ornamental grass has gone insane this year with the early rain and heat. It's out of control and only half of the growing season is done. Can I cut this down halfway to the ground or completely to the ground like I do in the fall without killing it? Basically I just want to trim it or make it not look horrible. https://i.nostr.build/vG665.jpg https://i.nostr.build/jY22M.jpg
Pretty sure you can cut them off close to the ground and they'll sprout again this summer. Maybe prevent the cuts from burning in the sun
Thanks.
I know nothing, but have been told the one-third rule. That is, plants, trees, shrubs, lawn grass maybe, can tolerate cutting one-third of their green away. Something like that. But the story never included how often one can do that... :(
Hmmm. That's the golden rule for mowing normal grass... Worst case I kill it for this season. I'll yolo here this week when the weather gets cooler.
