India to grow at 6.8 per cent in FY25, to become upper middle-income country by 2031 ========== Crisil Ratings projects India's GDP growth at 6.8% in the next fiscal year. The Indian economy is expected to double to USD 7 trillion by 2031, becoming an upper middle-income nation. The next seven fiscals (2025-2031) will see the Indian economy crossing the USD 5 trillion-mark and inching closer to USD 7 trillion. India is currently the fifth largest economy in the world, and Crisil expects it to expand to USD 6.7 trillion by fiscal 2031. By fiscal 2031, India will be the No. 3 economy and an upper-middle income country. Challenges to growth outlook include geopolitics, slowing potential growth, climate change, and technological disruptions. Manufacturing and services sectors are projected to grow 9.1% and 6.9% respectively between fiscals 2025 and 2031. #India #GdpGrowth #UpperMiddle-income #Economy #CrisilRatings https://www.newindianexpress.com/business/2024/Mar/06/india-to-grow-at-6-8-pc-in-fy-25-to-become-upper-middle-income-country-by-2031
