I was just robbed by an uber driver here.
He didn’t report I payed for the service and uber double charged me for something I’ve already paid.
It’s unbelievable how some people can act like this. I was told that it’s the new scam uber drivers are doing in Brazil.
Despite the fact I love my country and its people,I understand why there’s such a negative stereotype about us.
I grew up poor and never in my whole life I robbed anything from anyone.
I started working when I was 16,and I don’t think poverty it’s an excuse to commit crimes. Bad character is. We are living in times where morals don’t exist anymore. I’m sad and frustrated at the same time. 😭
Chargeback time, and the driver will lose an additional $15 in dispute fees
Lodge a complaint with Uber asap. This is a common scam e-hailing drivers pull on new users. It has happened to me, too. My fare was refunded
Always pay in the app, you can use card or pix. It's not worth the risk of getting scammed
I paid using pix but he reported as if I didn’t pay for the service.
But you used the option to pay afterwards to the driver right? There's an option to pay in the app itself, so uber knows whether you paid or not without requiring the driver doing anything.

I always use this, don't trust drivers :/
Sorry this happened to you. Clearly one of you has good morals. Do you have proof of payment to use for a complaint to uber?
 I do.
It is a human trait, no matter if poor or rich. Values have been forgotten at the education system or consciously ignored by our leaders.
My first business in Switzerland after coming back from Guatemala was a try if scam for € 12000, for a coffee machine paid in advance, luckily I had my Guatemalan strategy. 😉
Anyway fight for what is yours, it is good practice.

@James
 The power is yours.
Im sorry to hear. Are you not able to report him on Uber app?
Wow, that’s really bad. This week, I was actually really grateful to an Uber driver here in Floripa. I left a bag with all my personal documents: passport, ID, driver’s license, everything. The driver returned it to me in less than 24 hours! He could have sold it or done something awful, but instead, he chose to do the right thing.
Some people are great. I get lucky sometimes too but when things like that happen I get really disappointed with human kind.
At least, he didn't hurt you.

Morals still exist. They're just out of fashion for the time being.
