@45fa203e Thing is, *they all know very, very well* that this stupid wall/fence does not "work", other than to drive migrants and asylum seekers into the hands of traffickers who control the easy-to-create access points. I spend much of the year near the border in AZ, doing humanitarian aid and the wall is a very sad joke. Trivial to bypass. THEY KNOW THIS, so the only explanation is a backroom compromise with some Rs or a performative attempt to woo the white center? FFS I have no idea at this point.
