It amazes me that nobody I know IRL truly believes that monetary debasement leads eventually to higher asset prices and CPI.

Weimar 2.0.
Yeah. It's really sad. I've been pushing a few friends on this. They are starting to get it, but gosh it's a slog.
Americans are so heavily propagandized, it’s not even funny
No one in the west was taught proper economics. We all had to learn this outside of school. This was done on purpose.

I can empathize with them. Most people don't want to care about this kind of stuff and would rather trust experts. Ironically if we could get them on hard money they wouldn't have to.
That belief is actively discouraged by those who made the mistake.
I think people think that debasement is normal and don’t question it or see alternative that can fix the issue, they don’t see debasement as stealing

It’s sad.
I don't understand why the same people won't work 40 hours for me in exchange for some toilet paper that I draw numbers on, and yet they do the same for government & bank credit issued/printed paper that is backed by even less than my shit-backed toilet paper.

The shit-backed toilet paper peso at least has a fixed supply, I can only shit so many times per day.
 *fixed rate of supply/issuance.
it will NOT be same like weimer in digital age - when all 200 printing press are ON - it will different LONG GAME !

They're embracing Bitcoin, tho, so I think they're just moving on.

some cantons using bitcoin as legal payments - nothing to do with SNB
Yeah, that's what I meant. The Swiss people are moving on.
