I’ve managed to get a few people to get on nostr and also set them up with a small lightning gift by way of introduction to bitcoin. They have all disappeared back to facex, myspaz or whatever the flavour of app they use that feeds them EXACTLY what they think they want to see. The algorithms of MSSM are very clever & addictive, it feels like asking an alcoholic or drug dependent person to just STOP right now !! You might get a few who do, highest by far relapse again and again. New users will need support and guidance to help them kick the habit - onboarding will need to be tight for a while, maybe we really need to lean in & hold their hands. You’re absolutely right about bitcoin. I wish I knew a cool way to introduce them to both. I’m sure as time goes by it will become easier - even saying that makes me feel lazy.
