I'll play devil's advocate for them, because I don't agree with what they say, especially with his first point (no intrinsic value).  I'd interpret what he says as separated in time.  "It's fundamentally flawed, but even if it overcomes those flaws, if it starts getting big, it will be crushed by authorities."
