 Want to make more money?
Start a business, it's the best vehicle.

Want to grow a nonprofit?
Start a nonprofit, find multiple sources of funding. It's the best vehicle.

Mixing the too makes things too complicated. Even on a personal level, it's hard to figure out your own priorities and expectations.

No easy answers.
Do you want to make good products? Use Neither. Both corporate structures get too much in the way these days.

Not true at all. There is a million ways to run your business. You don't need to make a corporate drone system for yourself. Businesses are a very efficient grouping system for creating cool things.
Sure, many ways. Most of them are terrible. Some are ok for small business. Largely speaking, if you don't fight against the status quo, the business is fine, but try getting out of it just to see what the system can do to you. Small business are ok. But I don't consider them to be on the "want to make money category". Most small business never make anything beyond living expenses.
Also not true. Many small companies make lots of money.

"Most small business never make anything beyond living expenses."
AND
"Many small companies make lots of money."

can both be true.
