Initial Android Auto support is here! Our community has already helped us with testing and a lot of additional fixes have been merged, with a new release with the appropriate fixes coming very soon! If GrapheneOS not supporting Android Auto was the reason for not giving it a shot, now's the time! This release won't make it beyond Alpha for aforementioned reasons but the foundations are there.

GrapheneOS version 2023123000 released:

Is there a similar OS for non pixel android phones?
 LineageOS
LineageOS isn't similar as it isn't a privacy/security focused OS.

Recommend https://eylenburg.github.io/android_comparison.htm which is a third party comparison between different alternate mobile operating systems. It could include many more privacy/security features but it's a good starting point.

OR

https://privsec.dev/posts/android/choosing-your-android-based-operating-system/ is an article with more long form comparisons between OSes.
 Good point 🤘
WhaaaaaaaatttatattTttYttatatahakab! So damn cool! Happy New Year ya sexy devs!
 Thanks GrapheneOS!!
