Bill Gates story about "Starting Microsoft on his own in a garage is such BS, the real truth is his father was already a very rich man, and what's more an Attorney, who both used dirty business practices to steal ideas for Microsoft. He has never been a good guy, or a man trying to make the world better, he has always been a bad guy doing bad things.
There are many sons of rich people, and most of them didn't build the top 3 most valuable company in the world. I don't think anybody believes it's a good guy trying to do good, but deserves the credit of an accomplishment.

Bezos: rich stepdad
Thiel: rich relatives
Pretty sure all of them were at least millionaires before they started.
Not Steve Jobs, he had to sell all his possessions to start Apple. He had poor parents.
Assuming the story is true. I suspect the whole adoption story is faked. Still I like Jobs a lot more than Gates.
