I agree with the anger about those issues, but this is a bit disingenuous, and is taking a statement out of context to fit the narrative. The fact is, Blinkin was talking about every discretionary dollar that was budgeted to the State Department. This isn't money that would have gone to remedy those other problems if not for the decision by the State Department to use their discretionary budget to support Ukraine. And at least half of those problems are the direct result of the political right stonewalling legislation intended to address them.
