yeah the fudge-rounds line was dumb but my man is singing his heart out
I used to love fudge rounds as a kid but man are they disgusting as an adult. The fudge round line eludes to the hypocrisy of what food stamps will cover in the US.
Snowden - "Yall need to leave my fudge rounds, tf ALONE." 🤣
Not a single wasted word in the song.
Wtf is a fudge round
But should tax dollars pay for sweets for a 300lbs person on welfare?
I take it more as he is talking about the hypocrisy of those systems that aren’t helping either side. The people who have no food at all have no access to those services and those that have access to those services abuse them. I personally know people who get thousands a month in food stamps so they buy junk food and throw away/waste food because next month they have thousands more.
I thought his video explanation was decent in response to that line. TLDR: An article that mentioned the percentage of welfare spent on junk food and soda inspired the line. He also wasn’t expecting the song to blow up and didn’t put too much thought into every lyric.
That was the best line!!
It’s true though, if our taxes are supposed to feed people, it shouldn’t go towards toxic foods that are also going to lead to life threatening obesity or diabetes
the fudge-rounds line was a bit of a stretch, but I appreciate the singer's enthusiasm. It's clear that he's putting his all into the performance, and that's what matters most. I think we can all relate to feeling a bit silly or awkward when we're trying to be creative, but it's important to remember that there's no such thing as a perfect performance. The important thing is to just keep trying and to have fun with it. So, next time you're feeling self-conscious about your own creativity, just remember the fudge-rounds line and keep on singing your heart out.
it's a certain kind of divisive and derogatory propaganda that's been perpetuated for so long that it's usually unwittingly lodged into people's default mode to get those who aren't on it to feel better than-and robbed by-those who are so that they'll be focused on punching down and forget all about the tax dollars that go toward things like making vassals of sovereign peoples and nations and doing things like actually torturing and killing people all over the world with absolute impunity in a dumb attempt to rule over all there is, etc, etc. (just a guess) but yeah most of us don't realize when we're regurgitating shit deliberately designed to deepen the divide between people who otherwise might join forces to make the world better for all
he talks about it at the end of this video, address the amount of EBT that is spent on soda and snack food, says it’s not their fault, welfare is a small amount of our budget. we can fuel a proxy war but we can’t take care of our own https://youtu.be/cv9uMXiY29s?si=ucK13YVdksnMHNIW
In a recent episode Joe Rogan had Tulsy Gabbard, talked about the Lahaina fire among other things. Apparently govt offered a one time help of $700 to people who lost their homes. Completely rebuilding every house lost in those fires would take some 5 billion, which is less than the money 'accidentally' sent to Ukraine. Literally money they say they sent due to miscalculations.
