#asknostr question: Does anyone know a way to distribute my blog posts on #nostr? I use Ghost CMS, and while I'm glad they decided to start working with ActivityPub, I wish they had chosen to fully embrace Nostr instead. Any thoughts on this, or alternative suggestions, are welcome!
You can post on Habla.news Copy / paste.
Wasn't there a plugin or bridge for this?
Not that I know of. We have npub.pro which takes notes and turns them into a website that uses Ghost themes. You’d need a way to import from Ghost. I brought it up to @brugeman but I’m not sure if he’s working on it.
Maybe I'm looking at it backwards...thinking website content first and then Nostr. This would be the opposite approach, which is still valid, but it would mean hosting my main site on Nostr relays instead of my current traditional host.
An import tool would fix that. You’d press a button and get your latest ghost cms articles into nostr. But it doesn’t exist yet as far as I know. Needs to though!
There is a tool for one-time import from Ghost https://npub.pro/import-ghost But there isn't one to continuously monitor Ghost using it's API and to republish everything from Ghost to Nostr, if that's what you need.
That's what I was hoping for... I wish I knew how to build things like that, but I limit myself to woodworking 😅. @Derek Ross , help me understand something pls, if I send a note using a client like Habla.news(for example), does it still get distributed to all clients (like Primal, for example), or not, because that specific client is focused on, let's say, long-form text?
Long form notes are their own “kind” and not all clients fetch them. Not sure if Primal does but some others like Damus do.
