 Nah. Then who's gonna decide who the "known people" is? But "followed by <people you already follow>" type of thing could be cool tho. 

 If Bob is publishing a client and you're using Bob's client, it's not a horrible idea to assume Bob will also do a reasonable job defining that.

But of course Bob can also delegate that job to someone else or to some algorithm -- and by using Bob's client you would be tacitly agreeing that that was a better choice.

Some people are just obviously important though. 

 I see your point, and I agree that some people are naturally important, but I don't think this kind of pre-definition is sustainable, especially as Nostr grows and new "important people" come in everyday.

 This also unconsciously helps identifying an account as trusted, if it's already part of your network. Even when you're not 'actively' using it as such.

 i just think considering you are a nostr pioneer, thinking about showing followers is foolish, and i say this with all due respect.  

 Other thought: maybe we should add dislikes again (with displaying the count) 

  Maybe there could be a trending/popularity score, that shows how many people interacted with your notes or comments (Also with likes or dislikes).

 I’d be in favor of removing “follower count” and “followed by” all together, entirely. It’s harder to stay humble when you know who’s following you that “are important”, and how many people are following you. 

Follow me based on my content, follow me based on my ratio of replies to posts (showing engagement with others), but don’t follow me based on who else is following me. I’m not that important…and neither are they 😂
