Sorry, I don't understand. How do you mean?
Well if the only thing your dad can come up with is people with guns back the euro then perhaps he should reconsider which money he puts his faith into. The people who back bitcoin do so in an egalitarian way, there isn’t a small percentage of the population in charge of how much exists or who can use it and what they can use it on. The entire network of people opting into it do so to avoid the problem of taxation via inflation. Sorry my original comment wasn’t that clear 😅
I got booted from bitcoin core github the other day because my comments were off-topic. How am I supposed to study bitcoin if I can't participate in the debate?
Not sure about that one, I haven’t really messed with GitHub. I’ve been learning about btc on YouTube. A lot for Andreas Antonopoulos’ old talks on the subject, a lot from various YouTube channels such as what bitcoin did, Preston Pysh, Coin Bureau (they kind of so a lot of topics though)… and I’ve started reading books on the subject but haven’t finished a lot of them 😅 so in my case I do my learning either via lecture or book and not a lot from discussions.
