I increasingly think (especially with how completely ignorant we have been of our gut biome and the parasites in our systems affect us until *very* recently) that these things have a vastly greater affect on our world, the collective conscious, and our decisions than we want to admit.

I always think about the zombie stories where everyone is infected with some fungus or parasite that turns them into mindless demons… and all I can think is that this *literally* could be happening in some form across our society and we wouldn’t even know it.

Just look around at the mental and physical state of most people. Hard to dismiss outright, imo. nostr:note1e5scldf23qermv78edrw9v6cw2ve986zzzrqwxhg6uq403s0dteqhmch7z
You should read Final Crisis by Grant Morrison.

It's about a memetic virus, the Anti Life equation, spreading through information channels such as the Internet, radio, tv, ect.
I was just going to raise this idea, but I hadn't heard of that book.

Realizing that it doesn't even have to be a physical organism makes this so much scarier. A parasitic idea can zombify its hosts, which arguably we see all around us.
I highly recommend this book which will blow your mind:

Thanks for the recommendation. I just added it to my library list.
Not only is most of the public ignorant about the gut biome, most physicians are as well and I agree with your evolving view. My son was diagnosed with abdominal migraines at 11. The neurologist said it would likely morph into regular migraines once he hit puberty, but said “they didn’t quite understand why, only that it was believed to be the interplay of serotonin and sex hormones.” Sure enough that is what happened. The gut impacts the brain without a doubt.
It’s funny the researchers that got literally dragged through hell and back by the pharmaceutical companies and establishment media for their data that showed an unmistakable link between autism and the MMR vaccine, actually weren’t studying that at all. The study itself was about connections between gut health and brain disease. They simply accounted for treatments and vaccines in their data, and the connection just emerged while studying something completely different.

Then the pharmaceutical companies when on full attack and destroyed their reputations and careers. Saying they were crazy anti-vax loons and quacks. Yet in the actual research they don’t even make the claim of causation, they merely pointed out the data, with a huge defensive caveat of “this isn’t proof, we know nothing, but this should probably be investigated.” But that was enough to get publicly “black bagged.” Most likely because pharma knows perfectly well there’s a connection.
 It’s why science can’t science.
Agreed. Makes me think of Saifedean's Fiat Food. For decades, Americans have been poisoning themselves consuming toxic sludge. How could it not effect their mental state?
By many metrics this *is* occurring. Look at student test scores and achievement. Idiocracy. The number of NPCs feels like it's increasing!

Scary.
The bacteria in my gut controlled me to a far greater extent than I imagined. They made me crave stuff that is bad for me. They made me feel anxious when I did not feed them. They stole years and years of my life.

Plebs, fix your gut, fix your life.
How did you fix your gut?
I had a bad bad case of SIBO. Extremely high levels of hydrogen in my breath test. This caused symptoms commonly labeled as fibromyalgia.

Diet only did not work. (Low Fodmap)
Elemental diet didn’t work.
2 rounds of antibiotics (two different kinds, first one was hardcore) with no lactose super low carbs diet followed by probiotics to rebalance the flora.

It’s not fixed yet. But so much better. I’ll need to repeat probiotics at least once this year and another time next year.

We’ll see at next doc appointment…
I've used ivermectin. Do your own research, but it helped me. Also many cancer related benefits being researched.
Yeah? What did you use it for?
 Toxoplasmosis.
I can imagine what chlorine infused tap water does to the gut biome.
I don't feel we have read the carika samhita and Ayurveda it is all focussed on food and gut
I had an undiagnosed food allergy wreck my gut health. It literally makes you stupid. Been a year and I'm just getting back on track.

That said, cardio condition has a huge impact on intelligence and most people's cardio is shit these days.

Also, go read Snowcrash. Idea viruses are very real and fiat with government dependence is very pervasive across the planet.
It's been happening for ages, mainly through the use of pathogens (along with various other deadly chemicals) infused into our food and water. That, combined with an endless amount of propaganda and the convenience attached to nearly everything we do in our daily lives, has led many to peak laziness and a growing inability for critical thinking. Given all this, the typical person's diminishing brain function seems unsurprising, doesn't it🤷‍♂️?
Forgot to mention medications. How could I forget about those?

 Toxoplasmosis.
Everything you think and feel is wrong
Fixing peoples gut health could solve a lot of problems, perhaps the mental health crisis would be the first one. It really is insane that gut health is such a fringe esoteric topic.
