Personally, i don't like A/C most of the time, even though I recognize that it is necessary on occassion.   I dread visiting some places because I find that people over-cool their spaces often when using A/C. 

That said, swearing it off seems a bit severe. 

 I keep my room at 17°C and during the winter I leave the window open 

 yes i agree, it is nice to have a cool bedroom. I definitely sleep better that way 

 I had to get an AC because I couldn’t sleep 😅 I slept like a damn baby the first couple of days after I bought it
