 Prove to me they aren’t.

I know quite a few who are saving in Bitcoin
I recently spent a week in Buenos Aires. Many more are using Tether. Painful, but true. Lightning has a long way to go.
Yes but they save in Bitcoin.
Perhaps. Ideally. Not what I observed. Savings of any kind is a luxury.
Patience. The USD is going to zero, it is already inflating away savings at a greater rate than the official cpi. Tether is the USD and related treasuries proxy.
George isn't aware of all the different #bitcoin apps available to use while travelling
He asked why Argentinians aren't "using" bitcoin. That's different from saving in bitcoin. Argentinians use stablecoins more than they use bitcoin because it's a lot more practical. Bitcoin hasn't scaled enough to use as a medium of exchange but it's great for saving. Stable coins are used far more often for day to day useage than bitcoin & until a scalable working Layer 2 solution is created it will remain that way.
