Yeah I’m not sure who he means. It’s not like people associate “Economist” with “must be rich because everyone knows all economists continually beat the market”. The only financially independent economists are the statist mouthpieces like Krugman or Reich or Kelton in the US or Kouk in Aus, and those Austrians who have gone in on Bitcoin.
