how does it work in europe? can you declare taxes on a country different from your nationality? (my wife just got her italian citizenship, and i was planning on moving to portugal, could she pay her taxes in portugal?) 

 The country you spend most of your time in claims a right to your taxes, so she’ll have to pay taxes where she lives most of the year.
