Pokey users. How much battery life does it use for you?
less than amethyst (0.9% for the last few hours, while amethyst used 1.7%)
Makes sense. It should be way less.
I hate notifications.
Then don't use it.
9% thus far today
You probably use more than the average user, you being Derek Ross and all. I bet your Pokey is exhausted from relaying all those notifications.

The hokey pokey usually uses all my energy.
19% Amethyst 18% Pokey
0%, installed for about 6 hours.
Is it showing notifications?
It seems to be. Little chat bubbles dropping down from the top.
Interesting
I'm kinda concerned about privacy. You could put anyone's npub in Pokey and get their notifications including content. It would probably be wise to change it to use nsec or Amber to ensure that only the npub holder can configure it for their npub.
Sure, but the change in the client won't change anything. Anyone can watch your notifications if your inbox relays allow them to. Especially if you use public/free relays.
Yeah, but this makes it really easy. Just install the app and plug in the npub of the person you want to monitor. Even if it doesn't solve the greater issue, requiring authentication would close a pretty big door.
It's already easy. You can use any client to watch others. Just log into primal, amethyst, damus, etc.
Is it why I have no Play Services installed that I don't get any notification?
Yep,you gave to use the Fdroid version of the app and install ntfy, and likely pay for their service to send you notifications.
Noted. Probably will change soon my Android software again and will look how to get the services installed somehow.
