The demise of books is entirely a boomer thing. Have you ever seen them try to read one? They'll use one book as a social prop for like two whole years and never finish it. 

 Haha it goes back and forth. I see some older people argue that young people only watch videos and brainrot. Fwiw, I've seen ample evidence of both.
