 I switched from DuckDuckGo to Kagi for search. It's paid and the results aren't as deep but the quality so far is much better. Once I go past the free tier I'll reevaluate it, but so far very happy. All the junk sites no long show up.

I'm sure it's good, whatever. It's just the fact that the answer to shitty Internet has consistently been paywalling the good kind, especially around information. News? All paywalled now. Search? Apparently paywalled, too. Video? Paywalls all over.

Meanwhile, the paranoia, conspiracies and misinformation remain free.

Well that's a downer.
