mempools last cleared over six months ago, they may never clear again 👀

bitcoin transaction fees limit network abuse by making usage expensive - there is a cost to every transaction, set by a dynamic free market based on demand - it is an incredibly robust way to prevent spam without relying on centralized entities that can be corrupted or pressured: https://www.discreetlog.com/utxos/
If @MartyBent ever wants to double down I will gladly take the other side of the bet. #MempoolsFullForever
Keep it simple keep it fair
And once again folks get all creative on the mailing list. Only allowing utxos that would be able to pay for themselves is what I read today. They confuse the baby with the bathwater
last month has been mostly 1 sat/byte cleanups. is it really congested if you can go for 1.5 sat/byte within a day?
Most brilliant and forward-thinking scaling + engineering design I have ever encountered. I’m humbled.
@ODELL what do you consider larger and small utxo’s now?
The mempool clears with every block although to different fee levels. The fee level "1sat/vB" is kind of arbitrary. Did it clear down to 0sat/vB? Can you proof it did? There is no universal mempool so I doubt you can.
At least after the last almost clear, this one looks and feels a bit more 'real'. Not just a bunch of 1sat inscriptions and such.
Really??? There was barely 20k transactions 48 hours ago in the mempools now there is over 200k. It doesn’t seem organic.
They will clear again many times.
The bankers had to hide their entry
They actually just cleared right now, Check again!
The ultimate “user pays” technology. Modern day toll road for money over IP. Brilliantly simple.
We love all you're doing for #BTC Mr. Odell. Keep up the good work.
I have already adjusted my internal algorithm to consider successfully transaction at 2 sats/vb as the mempool being cleared 😂
