First USB-C & now RCS, In the last 3 years, the EU has pushed more innovation into Apple than Apple's own engineering team.

Their reason for not supporting it is unforgivably Microsoft-y. Because their solution to SMS shortcomings is: "Get an iPhone"
Not sure if you could call it innovation, but EU has certainly been successful in requiring Apple to be more interoperable- long overdue
blue test bubble was the innovation
sorry. i already switched to Session for private/secure messaging with true E2EE.
 Have you tried @simplex?
no, haven't tried that one. and it was a bear getting my family/friends on Session. but i've used Signal, then switched to Threema, and now Session.

but i would recommend anyone to use any other third-party communication app that supports E2EE rather than iPhone/Google's app.
