 @2c1a2dac @5756e48c The fan situation is weird: I got shipped two hotends with one fan, and then the replacement I got sent had a fan on it. Not sure why they couldn't just give me another fan with the printer.

Are the fans 3010s? I compared to one I had lying around, and it seemed a bit smaller (maybe a 2510?). Might have to double-check that.

I also noticed that the fan setup on the hotend is weird: a good 25% of the fan is blowing straight into a solid metal mounting part.
 @2c1a2dac @5756e48c The back cover definitely isn't great. I suspect it's to hide the lack of cable management, but it definitely makes a lot of things much harder than they should be.
 @20ffb98d @5756e48c Now I'm thinking of removing the back cover permanently and re-doing resonance measurement, just to make it easier to swap nozzles.

That, plus not swapping fans, would take me from 8 screws to 2 screws to swap nozzle, which takes it from "wouldn't it be easier just to unscrew the nozzle form the heater and screw a new one in?" to "sure, no problem" territory for me.

Curious about how precise their manufacturing is; will I need to adjust Z height when doing that?
 @2c1a2dac @5756e48c From what I can tell, probably not: the hotend is mounted _very_ rigidly, and (thanks to extensive disassembly) I know that their toolhead doesn't rely on the back panel for counter-balancing. My only concern is any loose wiring, but that's just a few zipties.
 @20ffb98d @5756e48c Oh, I didn't measure it, that was a handwaving memory.

You are right, they look like 2510. Just went and measured one.

And yes, I finally understand that they shipped two hot ends and one fan with the printer, but that replacement hotends ship with a replacement fan.
 @2c1a2dac @5756e48c If it is a 2510, that would explain a lot about the creep. These fans tend to be quite underpowered compared to their 3010 cousins, and due to how it's mounted, you're not even getting the full force of the fan over the heatsink.
 @2c1a2dac @5756e48c I even checked: Gdstime 2510s get 2.45 CFM, while Gdstime 3010s get 4.7!
