 Personally I don't it makes much difference. Harris is just a mouth piece, as is Trump. Empires come and go. It might take the US 100 years to bottom. The UK still in decline since WW1 with a couple of blips up in the 60s and 80s as far as I can tell.

All the shit Dems don't like happened under Biden and all the shit Reps don't like happened under Trump on balance they seem pretty much the same, aside from some rhetoric to appeal to their respective bases.

 No new conflicts under Trump. Despite naively having many of the wrong people in his team, his first term seemed largely positively received apart from the debacle at the end. The calibre of the team around him this time seems very high to me. I think he's learned plenty about that sooner last time. Plus the danger he's subjected himself to in running this time, when most in his position wouldn't.
