 GM nostr 🌇

I’m seeing a need…

I just walked past a line of people waiting to get into some web3crypto event (yes, this early in the morning, no, I don’t know why 😂).

I have stickers from @bitcoin.rocks and @SimplestBitcoinBook in my wallet that I could give them.

But I DON’T have a nostr sticker or QR code to say, “Hey, we’re fixing the web without a scammy token or inefficient blockchain. Check it out.”

Is anyone making these already?

Should I print stickers or QR codes for Nostr.how, @JeffG ? Other ideas for a 10-second chat?

This is how I wake up #coffeechain

@Lux - do we need stickers?
 Yes. Yes we do.
Was passing out when I read this and forgot to reply lol.

I like https://Stickermule.com and the founder was against vax/masks and took a lot of heat for it from single-celled, smooth brains during the pandemic.

Example of a holographic sticker I had made.

Doug God’s work you are 🙏💜
And yes, we definitely need #nostr stickers! Calling @Ln_Prints

Also, happy to mail you more of my stickers if you like, just DM me an address! https://i.nostr.build/oMv8v.jpg
Thank you! I certainly will 🫂🫂🔥
I can slap those stickers out in the world for ya.
I specialize in the slapping department.
 Haha great walking morning lol
You can use my open source nostrich logo and print out your own stickers and purple pill the world!

And you can print QR codes on the back of the stickers

 Erik dude i love this
I doubt shaming these crypto devs about their scammy tokens will get them to the Nostr side.

The reason they build in web3 is to become rich, financially indepedent, lambo life etc. Their goal rarely is to build freedom tools.

To attract them, it would be more constructive to play their game a bit and somehow build better monetary incentives within Nostr for them to come.
 I agree completely.

I try not to approach these chats from an antagonistic place, if I want to have any positive/useful impact. I’d rather the person want to have another conversation with me, than never want to see me again lol

My quote above was a bit tongue-in-cheek; when I actually talk to crypto folks about Nostr, I approach it from a place of (assumed) shared excitement about decentralized communication, building cool tech, etc… Even if their motivations are often more fiat-minded, I try to assume the best.

So really it would be (and has been) more like this:

“Have you heard of nostr? It uses crypto to secure your identity and social graph, and integrates seamlessly with Bitcoin Lightning, so that people can build payments and exchange value, and it’s a very inspired community! Nostr is also completely open, so if someone wanted to build a nostr interface with other cryptocurrencies, they could, but we’re finding that Bitcoin works nicely for the money, and allows people to focus on building new awesome tools”.

Something like that 🫡
