Hi Jean Artur, and welcome to #nostr! Just checking your addresses... 🤓 ▶️ #Nostr address (NIP-05) ❌ You haven't set a nostr address in your profile 🥺 Nostr addresses help verify that you're a real person. We'll give you one for free at "yourname@minestr.app", if you like. Just get in touch! 😊 ▶️ #Lightning address (LN address) ❌ You haven't set a lightning address in your profile yet 🥺 Setting a lightning address allows anyone to zap you some #sats (bitcoin). An easy option for beginners to get a lightning address is the Wallet of Satoshi lightning app 😊 Once you've fixed your addresses, just post a note including #checkmyaddy and I'll check them again for you! 👌 I'll also send you some sats ⚡️ Made with 💚 by @minestr.app
FYI, Wallet of Satoshi doesn't work for US users. Thr Minibits Wallet is the best option for US users as it integrates with Nostr via Nostr Wallet Connect.
Thanks for the feedback? Would you say minibits is easy enough for new people to use?
Sorry that ? was meant to be a ! 😅
I might actually write up a guide. It would be good thing for new users, and would make getting their zaps properly setup a lot smoother. As it is, new users are sorta thrown to the wolves and not given much guidance on which wallet to use, and how to set it up with their Nostr client. Once you use NWC, you'll never want to use anything else. And right now, I'm pretty sure Alby and Minibits are the only wallets that support it. And Alby requires a significant financial commitment while Minibits doesn't require anything.
Well, it was easy for me. It has decent in-app documentation but it could probably benefit from a Nostr-specific how-to guide that walks the user through the entire setup process. As a wallet, it's pretty straightforward. It's basically install-and-go. But the Nostr Wallet Connect part might not be so intuitive for new normies.
Added Minibits 👍
