 HLS video streams are made up of different encodings of the same video, some high quality and some very low quality. The encodings are also chopped up into segments so that the video can switch from high quality to low depending on the bandwidth conditions.

Here’s the lowest quality stream from my previous video upload:

Almost all social media sites use this format, because it makes videos just work without loading spinners.

Damus can make these on uploads, we just need a place to host them, as they are not a standard single-file upload. Will work on this! 
 Is there relay code for hosting videos yet? Could be huge for paid relays. 
 Filecoin? Or a specialized relay? 
 zap.stream seems to be using that too but it's full of glitches
