It has been a decent day spent doing my own things dogged by only medium levels of constant background anxiety about not doing work stuff, not doing enough stuff, and generally having continual doom looming over me. Could be better, but it's usually worse, so I'll take that. Anyway, can highly recommend a visit to Norfolk Herbs. I have bought from them online before, but it's only an hour from us, so I decided to visit. It's small, but packed with variety. #gardening #growyourown #herbs https://toot.ale.gd/system/media_attachments/files/111/076/320/338/802/185/original/7ed3b4c602799f0a.jpg https://toot.ale.gd/system/media_attachments/files/111/076/320/516/417/117/original/5adae445e36334da.jpg
The primary quest was to get a couple of persicaria odorata plants, which I grew up calling "Vietnamese Mint" but it mostly seems to be called "Vietnamese Coriander". This is my favourite alternative to coriander — in fact in general I prefer it over coriander — alas last winter I murdered ours through neglect (which is a lot of neglect, aside from frost it is hard to kill! It was a bad and stressful winter, I was pretty broken.) Have been meaning to get more all year, so that is finally done. https://toot.ale.gd/system/media_attachments/files/111/076/404/826/777/698/original/3bff14f85332c405.jpg https://toot.ale.gd/system/media_attachments/files/111/076/404/972/893/169/original/7c1d35cbbf13e8c1.jpg
