The one pictured in my garden is common boneset, it is a perinnal native to North America, so it may also grow on other northern hemisphere continents and was used by Native Americans. It is also called Indian Sage and Agueweed. It is part of the aster family. There is also Rough Boneset and Upland Boneset.
