Sorry to hear about your package being stolen. I recently switched to using a PO BOX for my personal mail and delivery to Amazon Lockers when ordering from there. It's certainty "less convenient" than home delivery but it adds privacy and security... plus I like taking the trip to pickup the mail. 

Also may I recommend a book? How To Resist Amazon And Why (2nd Edition): The Fight for Local Economics, Data Privacy, Fair Labor, Independent Bookstores, and a People-Powered Future! by Danny Caine.
