This makes me think that there is an opportunity to have a charity marathon. Standard donations to runners per mile and winner takes all but in the name of supporting (giving the winnings to) FOSS development.

Maybe call it Hal To The Finny? Halfway to the Finish? Somehow gameify the halfway mark or something. IDK, just thinking out loud.
