Various - Iles Salomon - Musique De Guadalcanal CD (Ocora 1994) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqhRx781GJg Tracks 1 to 10 consist of recordings of the music of a coastal population in Northern Guadalcanal, from a region sometimes known as Ghaobata, after the name of its largest clan which is, however, also found in other parts of the island. The recordings were made on 7 and 8 March 1970 in the village of Makile, some 20 miles East of Honiara. Tracks 11 to 25 present recordings of the music of a mountain-dwelling population from a region called Bahomea. The recordings were made on 11 March 1970 in Kongga, a meeting place at the foot of the mountain, on the way towards the plain (and Honiara) in one direction and inland towards the mountains in the other." Reissue of the LP OCORA OCR 74 (1970), with 17 minutes of music added. Recorded by Hugo Zemp, edited by Charles Duvelle.
