I really do think what we know as “online culture” was a natural human response to these heavily moderated and centralized platforms. It really reinforced the in-group vs out-group dynamics. Like “if I say xyz then I could get banned” is a social fear that was basically entirely created on legacy social media. That’s wild to think about.

I never got online until 2017 … probably. Then it was Reddit & specialized boards.
Didn’t go to Twitter* until 2022 IIRC & was shadow banned from week 3 #onward
Which made me angry. 😠 thought it was worth it but eventually left for almost a year 🤣🤣🤣 Denied all the various blue sky & other SM offers that came at me in 2022.
Last year I decided to return to Tweet mode after healing ❤️🩹. A sassy honey trap eventually got me to go to BS which led to here. And wait @jack is the guy who created Twitter …. Curious AF 🤣
#Nostr is nice. But it’s so much more. World Peace & eventuality of universal truths is what it is for me.
