ƛaʔukʷiłik (Aftermorrow) by Mark Penney 36x36" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas $3200 CAD , yes you can pay with BTC The subject in my work; is the location. Usually the viewpoint will feature the ocean, or water, usually noting the sky and the weather. I choose locations that I have come to feel are important somehow. I think a lot about the environment in that spot, it's inherent qualities, it's history, it's name and what it's like to be there a while. Ucluth Beach is amazing spot, a protected beach deep in the heart of Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ territory. I'm fascinated with the subtleties in the coastline there. It's a micro climate within another and has it's own weather. It's protected behind reefs, an islet and a sandbar. Often out of the wind with a lil beam of sunshine brightening it's shore. It's magical. It's a place I look forward to seeing each time I visit. #themarkpenney #painting #vancouverisland #canada https://image.nostr.build/e004491ff18c1afa1b45d993761575c0d50a88e45c21f20885174246bed9fc91.jpg
