Well, one day I woke up and realized I was the most competent person in my family/extended family and felt  a moment of real dread because I realized no one is coming to save me.  Then I realized, ok I guess I'm an adult now go get shit done.  It's the moment you realize you can't just climb onto the couch behind your dads legs and feel protected.  But life is in one direction and having my own child now, I get to be the protector.  Wild shit!
