perhaps enable developer options and check the background processes settings, the defaults are quite aggressive at killing idle processes

annoys the piss out of me how little configuration options they expose for this... i have 4gb memory on my device, surely i can have 6-8 processes running, but i'm pretty sure the limit is 3 or 4 

 me taking a look at bg processes after enabling developer options like 👁️👄👁️
